The Democrats are massively organizing here in the Fairbanks area.
They are recruiting candidates for the next season, launching
campaigns, looking for campaign managers. We, in the meantime, are
doing not very much. If we are to have any political clout at all, we
need officers, committee volunteers, candidates, voters.
The Green Party is worth working for. But it can't be done by one or
two people. We need more of those of you on this list to volunteer.
Please go to the websites,

and sign up to help out in any way you can.
We need every able body we can get.

Folks
We are currently at 297,675 registered Greens in 22 States, through
early April 2004
http://web.greens.org/stats/
In changes over the last month or so, Pennsylvania is up from 11,084 in
November to 12,186 now.
Oregon went down from 14,575 to 13,833 over the last couple of months,
probably owing to strong organizing by Democrats, particularly the Dean
and Kucinich campaigns.
In order to get back over 300,000 (which we reaced in November 2003), we
need to get updated numbers from Maine. The Secretary of State's office
there is late, with no update since November 2002 (there is a November
2003 update that is overdue).
We expect to gain several thousand in Maine when the new count comes in.
Mike
PS - Alaska dropped from 4,776 to 4,589 - that is the wrong direction to
get the 6,950 needed for ballot status if we don't win our court case
