ACTION UPDATE - Budget Reconciliation and Medicaid
Dear james m:
Even though you're tired of these emails, and tired of calling and e-
mailing Congress about the Budget Reconciliation bill and Medicaid.
I can tell you this, Congressional leaders haven't appointed a
conference committee for the Budget Reconciliation, so your efforts
are having an impact. Congress still needs to know that you are
concerned about the negative affect that Medicaid cuts will have on
people with disabilities and their families.

Our calls/e-mails have made it harder for Congress to cement a deal
on budget cuts. But, if they think you're forgetting about it, low-
income people with disabilities will be in trouble.
Congress will probably not head home until this weekend, making it
likely that they will work on Saturday, so please keep calling/e-
mailing your House Member and Senators on Friday and Saturday.
